When Unloading A Dump Truck What You Should Pay Attention to?

There is a heart-wrenching accident that occurred on July 10, 2016, when an agricultural truck driver in Hunan Province raised the bucket to unload goods, he did not look around for obstacles and let the bucket touch the high-voltage cable. He was electrocuted and eventually lost his life.

So, what should dump truck drivers do when they unload goods, what should they concern?

1. Before the operation, it is necessary to check whether there are obstacles up and down 5 meters around. Both personnel and telephone poles are obstacles that you have to pay attention to. The driver should drive to a safe area to carry some goods, otherwise, the accident mentioned above will occur.

2. The unloading ground must be level. Almost all truck drivers need to drive to level ground before they unload or load goods. This is also the first issue that dump truck drivers should pay attention to. The ground at the dumpsite must be level, especially the left and right sides of the truck or the dump truck is prone to tipping.

3. The ground should be tough enough to prevent the vehicle from getting stuck. If the dump truck is heavy and the ground is soft, after lifting, the rear wheel will sink. In order to avoid this situation, drivers should pay attention to check whether the tires on both sides of the car are trapped. It is wise to have someone outside the car to keep a watchful eye on the hydraulic pressure.

4. The rear bucket has to be opened, and the driver needs to pay attention to the operation when the unloading location is selected. The first step is to open the rear bucket. It seems very simple and does not require reminder knowledge, but there are many accidents because of this. If you forget to open it, the center of gravity of the vehicle is raised after lifting the bucket and in this case, if the road was uneven, the consequences will be very severe!

5. Do not overload, overloading is the biggest hidden danger in the driving safety of dump trucks.
