The service life of automobile tires is four years or 80,000 kilometers. Special vehicles have to transport large volumes, especially the dump trucks, those vehicles require tires with better performance. That means if there are no problems with the tires (such as too many tire repairs, side punctures, etc.) if the tire has been in service for four years, even if the mileage does not reach 80,000 kilometers, it must be replaced. Similarly, if it has not been four years, but the mileage has reached 80,000 kilometers, it is also recommended to replace it. Owners can rely on their own observation and touch to judge whether the tires have reached the level of replacement. You can pay attention to these 3 conditions.
1. Tire wear identification
There will be a wear mark in the groove of each tire. Generally, the thickness of the wear mark of a car is 1.6mm. If your tire pattern and wear mark are high on one side, it means it is time to change the tire. Some car owners may say that my tires are not damaged, and still use it when the pattern is worn flat. Such tires are very dangerous. The grooves in the tire pattern are mainly used to remove water on the slippery road and enhance the grip if the grooves are worn out, and the vehicle can easily cause slipping, and the car may out of control when driving on a slippery road.
2. Rupture of tires
In daily driving, the tires will inevitably be scratched or punctured, such as rubbing against the curb when parking. This can easily cause damage to the sidewall of the tire, bulging, or cracking. The tire bulge is because the cord inside the sidewall is broken. In this case, it is best to replace the damaged tire in time, otherwise, it is prone to puncture.
3. Tire aging
Rubber products have a service life, such as car door sealing strips. After a long period of time, they will deteriorate and problems such as lax sealing and cracking will appeal. Generally, the service life of tires is 3-5 years. After a long time, even if you drive carefully, the surface of the tires will harden and cracks will occur. Such a tire is considered to have fulfilled its mission, and it is time to change it. If you continue to use it, there will be a risk of a flat tire.
