Refrigerated trucks have gradually become the mainstream of food transportation in the market. Different foods require different temperatures during transportation, which can be adjusted by the temperature regulator in the cab. Then before adjusting the temperature of the refrigerated trucks, we should figure out the most suitable temperature for various foods during transportation to ensure the freshness of the food.

  • Fresh-keeping area for fruits and vegetables:

The refrigeration temperature zone of 2~8℃ can make vegetables, fruits, eggs, beer, beverages, etc., keep the freshness of vegetables and fruits and maintain the original flavor. The fruits that are more suitable for transportation in this temperature range are grapes, apples, cherries, plums, melons, pears, citrus, peaches, pineapples, lemons, and bananas. Fresh vegetables are pine mushrooms, asparagus, carrots, cauliflower, green peas, fresh vegetables, cabbage, celery, lettuce, cucumber, eggplant, spinach, potatoes, onions, sweet potatoes, pumpkins, and tomatoes.

  • Meat and fish preservation area:

The 0-degree heat preservation zone of 0~2℃ can keep the food at 0℃ without freezing, no loss of nutrition, and short-term storage of fresh fish and meat for 1-2 days without any discount on freshness. Generally, raw bacon, raw pork, raw beef, raw chicken, raw lamb, raw ham, eggs, pork sausage, smoked bacon, salted ham is suitable for this temperature range.

  • Variable temperature cold storage area:

In the variable temperature range of -2~-14℃, including:

1. Water temperature cold storage area (-2~-3℃). Foods suitable for this temperature range are margarine, cheese, condensed milk, whipped cream, butter, etc.

2. Slightly frozen and refrigerated (-3~-5℃).

3. Soft freezing (-6~-8℃).

4. Mild freezing (-10~-14℃)

These four temperature zones can not only keep the nutrition of the food from losing but also keep the fresh taste.

  • Quick freezing area:

In the freezing temperature zone of -18~-21℃, meat, fish, quick-frozen food, and other foods can be stored for a longer time, the freezing speed is fast.  Foods suitable for this temperature are ice cream, frozen fruit, concentrated juice, frozen fish, frozen beef, frozen lamb, frozen pork, frozen chicken, and frozen ham.
