A dump truck and a tractor-trailer crashed just before 8:30 a.m. Tuesday on the exit ramp from Route 22 East at Route 191 in Bethlehem Township.
One person was taken to a hospital in an ambulance, a Northampton County emergency dispatch supervisor said.
The tractor-trailer rolled over after the wreck.
The dump truck had severe front-end damage, and there appeared to be a contact point just behind the cab of the tractor-trailer, according to a report from the scene.
The exit ramp and nearby on ramp were closed but traffic continued on both lanes of Route 22, although it slowed as it passed the scene, according to a Pennsylvania Department of Transportation camera. The closure could take some time to clear.
