Daily Inspection and Maintenance of Fire Trucks

2020-08-10 17:09:20
Correct operation and use of fire trucks and various special equipment are important to give full play to the functions of fire trucks. The types of fire trucks are diverse and their functions are complex. They can be classified according to different standards, such as miniature fire trucks, light fire trucks, medium fire trucks, heavy fire trucks, single bridge fire trucks, double bridge fire trucks, flat-head fire trucks, and pointed heads. Water tank fire truck, dry powder fire truck, and foam fire truck.

1. Maintenance of fire pump.

The fire pump is the "heart" part of the fire truck. The maintenance of fire pumps directly affects the effectiveness of fire fighting operations. Therefore, in the process of inspecting and maintaining the fire pump, it is necessary to be careful, and if any fault is found, it should be eliminated in time. Generally, every rotating part of the fire pump should be filled with grease every 3 to 6 hours. It is necessary to regularly test the main technical parameters of the fire pump's maximum suction depth, water diversion time, maximum flow, etc., if there is a big difference from the normal performance, it should be checked and excluded. Pay attention to the following conditions during inspection and maintenance. The oil in the water pump and gearbox should be inspected in time. If the oil has deteriorated (oil becomes milky white) or is lacking, it should be replaced or replenished in time.

2. Inspection and maintenance of fire truck tanks.

Since the fire truck tank is full of fire extinguishing agent for a long time, the immersion of the fire extinguishing agent will corrode the tank to a certain extent, especially for some fire trucks with long service, if they cannot be inspected and maintained in time, the rust spots will expand or even rust through. The rust slag that falls off of the container tank will be washed into the water pump when the fire truck is out of water, damaging the impeller and causing the pump to fail to work normally. Therefore, regular inspections of fire truck tanks should be organized. Once corrosion is found, effective measures should be taken in time to prevent the expansion of rust spots. The common treatment method is to clean the rusty parts, apply epoxy paint, or repair welding after drying. The valves and pipelines of other parts related to the tank should also be checked and cleaned regularly, and the problems should be dealt with accordingly.

3. Inspection and maintenance of power take-offs and drive shafts.

Whether the power take-off and the water pump drive shaft are easy to use is the key to whether the fire truck can absorb and discharge water. Regularly check whether the power take-off is operating normally, whether there is any abnormal noise, whether the gear shifting and separation are smooth, whether there is an automatic off-shift phenomenon, and if necessary, check and maintain it. To check whether the water pump drive shaft has abnormal noise, whether the fastening parts are loose or missing, whether every ten bytes of the transmission shaft and the bearings need to be greased, tighten the bolts and grease if necessary
